Between 1918 through 1920, the Spanish Flu had a devastating impact on the City of Toronto. Learn how researching your Jewish ancestors may include family members who perished during the pandemic. What does the research say about tis horrific time period? How can this tragic time add stories that shaped your family’s path?
Stephen Brock has traced his roots in Russia and Poland to the late 1700s. He has been a member of Montreal’s and Hamilton’s genealogical societies and now a JGS Toronto member, serving on the Board. Steven has also been involved in various projects and an avid researcher and genealogist.
The Recognition Awards will be presented after the keynote speech. Please join us as we honour the valuable contributions of our volunteers and pay tribute to Rolf Lederer z”ll and reflect on his 40 years of outstanding commitment to Jewish genealogy.
