ET \nThe Rothschilds \nIn the history of the Rothschild family\, Frankfurt plays a central role. It was here that Mayer Amschel Rothschild first established himself as a trustworthy investor and custodian in the 1760s\, and Frankfurt was home to the first of the five original Rothschild banking houses. \nWed. Apr. 19 – The Rothschilds in Frankfurt \nWed. Apr. 26 – Nathan Rothschild & Moses Montefiore in London \n  \nTrudy Gold was the former C.E.O. of the London Jewish Cultural Centre\, and one of the founder members of the British delegation to the International Holocaust Remembrance Alliance. She has taught Modern Jewish History in schools and universities and for adult groups throughout the World. \nShe has coordinated teacher training in Jewish History and Holocaust Studies in Eastern Europe and latterly in China. \nShe is the author of The Timechart History of Jewish Civilisation and the student resources “Understanding the Holocaust” and the digital resource “Lessons of the Holocaust.” \n  \nRegistration:  \nJGS Toronto\, in conjunction with Classi Lectures is pleased to announce that this two-part series that is a partnered program being offered to its members.
